Before purchasing a Great Dane, please contact our Corresponding Secretary: Kathy Frederick, 4025 Terra Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46237-1325; (317) 784-7182 kativadanes@hotmail.com
Remember: a Great Dane is a cute puppy that will grow into a huge dog before it is 6 months old. Adult female Danes are approximately 32-34" at the shoulder and weigh around 135 pounds. Adult male Danes are approximately 35-36" at the shoulder and weigh around 165 pounds.
Buying a Great Dane should be an informed and educated decision. Spend some time with a fully grown Great Dane before purchasing even a puppy.
You are making a commitment for the entire life of the dog. We don't want to see YOUR dog end up in Dane Rescue, the Humane Society, the Dog Pound or worse.
